It Just Gets Worse

Ok so the post situation!! It would appear that the sorting office has a back log of 1 million letter and parcels sitting around. Rather than delivering the oldest letter first they are only delivering the new letter that come in!!!! Well? really what can you say. Now this is just retarded… I got on the bus this morning with the wife she paid and sat down, I paid walked down the aisle looked around and she was gone!!! So If my day hadn’t been going bad enough I get out of work go to the ATM stick my card in, type in the pin, hit balance check. Now normal you balance would come up on the screen at this point… Not for me, the machine spits out my card and flashes up invalid card!!!!. So I slink away from the ATM cue like a broke man and storm into my bank (Now admittedly my card is out of date but wait.) I walk up to the desk give the smiling lady my card and ask her to give me a balance check and tell me the address on file. She swipes my card waits 30 seconds and then informs me that it is out of date. To which I reply “This is why I want to know what address you have for me so you can tell me why you haven’t sent me a new card” after a lot of faffing around she informs me that 14000 people were not sent their new cards, at which point I politely informed her that I didn’t care and I wanted this fuck up sorted out. I could tell by the look in her eyes that she knew I was in for the long haul. So she hits a few keys and says she has to check with head office as the money that she gives me might not come out of my account, Now this I had no problem with I am quite happy to take the banks money, (they have taken enough of mine over the years). But alas 30 mins later I had the money and she even gave me my card back to torment another helpless bank employee later in the week. Well more problems with the post office today!!! So I sent some stuff down to my family in London, just Birthday Cards and some computer memory. Anyways to cut a long story short she found a post man about the place and got this answer… “We are not aloud to use our cars for deliveries now so we can only do 1 street a day” so basically each street get mail once a fortnight. Oh dear god I mean really what the fuck is going on with that company… So I think I am going to add a post office category.. So I remember reading a while back in the Times about people who have devoted themselves to Wikipedia. Why would you want to do this? these people get home from work or college then spend hours on end editing and re-editing wiki post and all you get at the end is wiki-recognition by a group of like minded individuals. This is the great thing that website owners have cottoned onto. In the old days you would spend a lot of time and effort building and filling a site with content. Now you just build a bare bones site and let the public fill it to the brim with new content. Now I understand that Wikipedia is trying to do some good stuff in Africa, which I have to say is very close to my heart (perhaps if there was an abundance of crude oil there it would be close to a lot of other peoples hearts!). At the end of the day though Wikipedia is not that great there are many inaccuracies within its pages
